Final Feedback.

Image
Feedback. After making my advertisement I created a google form in order to receive feedback from my peers. This helped me to better my editing on the advert.  From the statistics you can see below, the point of my advert as well as who the advertisement is for, meaning i met the brief in some of the most important aspects. I was advised to add more Mind logos throughout the survey, giving me the indication to change this after my first draft. I was also told that you couldn't tell who the target audience was which is something I'm concerned about considering I thought I did a good job at portraying that part of my advert. In my next draft I will change the sound effects for the heavy breathing as my feedback say it wasn't to their liking, this being an issue if it doesn't appeal to everyone. Overall I was given different views on my advertisement from those that answered the survey. I think there are a lot of things I could improve on in time.

Canon Final Feedback.

Feedback After i finished my end product, I asked my peers for feedback and looking at it, i'm happy with the outcome. I completely agree with the responses commenting on how dark the original photo is, if i got the chance to retake my photos i would definitely try out different types of lighting such as a ring light or even just natural light which could be done by taking the photos during the day. As for the others, i'm glad my product showcases that the client is canon.

Research Self Assessment

Research Self Assessment After completing my pitch for my product i then filled out a self assessment. This was done as an indication as to what i had done and if i had done everything i needed to do, a checklist if you will. It allowed me to manage the work i had finished and the work i needed to complete, it planned things out, organised work to make things less stressful in the end. I also self reflected on my work, giving myself a grade as to what i thought my work deserved.

Target Audience and Audience profile.

Image
Audience. We were given the task of creating a survey on google forms. Conducting a survey in order to round up enough information to understand who our audience will be. Knowing our audience was extremely important going forward in our project because we had to have an audience to focus on for our advertisement. Without this information we would be left with an advert made for ourselves rather than other people which would defeat the point of the project we were given.  Having age and gender as the first two questions were the most important. It shows who our general audience is and what would be appropriate to include in our advertisement. The results told us that 73.3% of the people that took part in the survey were aged 15-18. Giving us the freedom to assume other things about our audience. 40% of the results identified as male, 45.7% of the results identified as female. This means that gender will not be a main focus in our advertisement as there is no need for it. The n...

Canon Rationale

For the Canon project, i made my rationale to showcase my ideas for the advertisement. Creating my rationale allowed me to think thoroughly through my process going forward as well as to gather feedback from my peers. (This feedback was spoken and not filmed.)

Mental Health Research.

As a society we are constantly reminded about our mental health, especially during secondary school going forward into college and university as these can be very challenging times for people in life as there are so many changes happening in what seems like such a short amount of time. According to  www.forthwithlife.co.uk  it has been proven through surveys that women in the UK are more likely to be stressed than men,  "The female participants of our surveys admitted that, on average, they suffered from stress for three more days per month than their male counterparts."  www.apa.org  also agreed with these results, stating that, "Women are more likely than men to report having a great deal of stress. Almost half of all women surveyed said their stress had increased over the past five years, compared to four in ten men."  www.stress.org  also tells us that stress increases as you move towards becoming an adult, "According to the APA, those people aged ...

Editing.

Image
Continuity Editing. Putting related shots together to create a logic change in time despite having cuts between scenes. Creating continuous movements, time being the only thing that has to remain the same in order to allow the movie the freedom to flow in a correct, less confusing way. The purpose of continuity editing is to show time moving on without drastic changes or things that wouldn't make sense in the movie. An example of continuity editing could also be crosscutting, scenes that go back and forth continuously to show things happening at the same time. Non Continuity Editing The opposite to continuous editing, when the shots in a film aren't put together in an order that shows time being correctly ordered,  it's done to show the cuts that take away time being in a correct order. They can be used in scenes that go back in time and is similar to montage editing.   Example. Editing transitions Cuts are used to cut to a new scene without an effect, creating a si...

Videography.

Camera angles used in media. Camera angles are constantly used in popular media in order to immerse the watcher further into the video they are watching. Angles create moods and themes that make the audience know the significance of the scene and how the character/characters would be feeling in that moment. As a producer, their jobs are to make their work as entertaining as possible, one of the ways they do this by making the cinematic experiences as 'real' as possible. Giving characters real emotions and showing these emotions but using different camera angles is something producers have been doing for years, knowing that it works as an effective way to entertain their audience. Camera angles are important and are a crucial part of most movie scenes, without them, movies would be completely different. Low angle A low angle shot is defined in the way the camera looks up at a character, below their eyeline. They are used to display the importance or strength of a character to s...
