Final Feedback.

Feedback. After making my advertisement I created a google form in order to receive feedback from my peers. This helped me to better my editing on the advert.  From the statistics you can see below, the point of my advert as well as who the advertisement is for, meaning i met the brief in some of the most important aspects. I was advised to add more Mind logos throughout the survey, giving me the indication to change this after my first draft. I was also told that you couldn't tell who the target audience was which is something I'm concerned about considering I thought I did a good job at portraying that part of my advert. In my next draft I will change the sound effects for the heavy breathing as my feedback say it wasn't to their liking, this being an issue if it doesn't appeal to everyone. Overall I was given different views on my advertisement from those that answered the survey. I think there are a lot of things I could improve on in time.

Canon Final Feedback.

Feedback After i finished my end product, I asked my peers for feedback and looking at it, i'm happy with the outcome. I completely agree with the responses commenting on how dark the original photo is, if i got the chance to retake my photos i would definitely try out different types of lighting such as a ring light or even just natural light which could be done by taking the photos during the day. As for the others, i'm glad my product showcases that the client is canon.

Canon Evaluation.

My end product showcases a journey through time and how people grow older as they progress in life. I wanted to show that just because our time as people gradually gets shorter that doesn't mean the memories we have will run out. Those are timeless, the emotions we feel as people are the one thing that never changes as life goes on. I think that this would have been a good campaign for canon if i had more time to work on the details of my product.  Researching into Canon and their already existing products and adverts was important, needing to know how their marketing worked before actually starting with the project. We were quick to realise that there were a few different styles Canon wanted to showcase, tailoring to the different audiences they have as a company. Due to this we then did research into our own audience. The rationale came first, showcasing the ideas we had to our peers in order to see if they met the standard of the brief, this also helped to visualise the product ...

Canon Post-production.

Whilst editing the final product for canon it was important to remember layers, layering was something that could make or break the way you edited your photo. If there were any mistakes made, layers allowed me to get rid of that certain mistake without ruining the rest of the project by erasing or changing the colours as the changes would then only happen to the layer that had been selected. This also happened to be important when i was drawing on the photo, if I had drawn on the original layer it would have meant that erasing that would've been almost impossible without re importing the original photo. Choosing and experimenting using different colours when I was drawing was easy as you could choose from multiple shades and colours as well as gradients. I changed my mind a lot when editing the final product but this made it something I didn't struggle with.

Podcast Post-production Diary

During the podcast we had to make sure that vocals didnt end up overlapping through mics and that the cuts we made were precise enough to seem natural rather than obvious. Using the scissors tool and eraser tool made this easier to do as it allowed you to make cuts throughout the audio files (As shown below) wherever you needed them to be.  Being able to cut out awkward silences and laughs made putting the podcast back together a lot easier. Getting to mix up conversations to make the outcomes different. Zooming in on the different parts of audio made the cuts just that little bit more accurate. Seeing all of the sound waves up close to know when audio was worth keeping or if it would just be easier to cut the silence short.  The EQ allowed us to get rid of s sounds, background noises and to make voices deeper or higher to seem more natural and less forced.

Post-production Diary.

01/02/22 & 02/02/22 Yesterday i began picking out different clips from the footage I had taken in the previous week. This made it easier to start editing today, as I knew what I could and couldn't use when putting together my final project. Because of the set backs during filming this meant that a lot of the footage wasn't to the standard needed, however I still had to use some of said footage, not having the option to re film.  After checking each of the clips I was left with those of which I would use to put in my advertisement. Today I began putting these clips together.  I took the time to learn how to change a green screen into my desired background, using the 'Ultra Key' in the 'Keying' effect, choosing the colour of the green screen from the clip using the eyedropper. Placing the clip over top the background I needed allowed the green screen to take full effect. I also added the mind logo to the timeline in the place I hope to finish my advertisement...
