Podcast Post-production Diary

During the podcast we had to make sure that vocals didnt end up overlapping through mics and that the cuts we made were precise enough to seem natural rather than obvious. Using the scissors tool and eraser tool made this easier to do as it allowed you to make cuts throughout the audio files (As shown below) wherever you needed them to be.

Being able to cut out awkward silences and laughs made putting the podcast back together a lot easier. Getting to mix up conversations to make the outcomes different.

Zooming in on the different parts of audio made the cuts just that little bit more accurate. Seeing all of the sound waves up close to know when audio was worth keeping or if it would just be easier to cut the silence short.

The EQ allowed us to get rid of s sounds, background noises and to make voices deeper or higher to seem more natural and less forced.
