Pre-Production (Script, Storyboard and Shooting Schedule)

Title Page Script Going forward with my project meant that i had to create both a script and storyboard, putting together a visual and practical element towards making progress in the making of my final advertisement. Producing my script was one of the most crucial parts to the pre-production of our advertisements as it plays hand in hand with our storyboards when we eventually start to film. We had to focus on what was going to be happening in frame rather than telling a story in our script. We had to be straight up wile making sure we added as much detail as we could without going off topic or talking about camera angles. My script explains my advertisement in a very basic way, introducing my characters and the plot. Everything that i couldn't include in my script (camera angles) was covered within the script, having the freedom to create a visual representation of what i hope to product at the end of my project. Storyboard   Everything that i couldn't include in my script (c...

Pre-production (Location Scouting)

Location - Recording Studio Location - College Location Scouting was used to get formal permission as to the locations we would be filming in, making sure we could film in those places rather than doing it ourselves. It gave us the opportunity to take responsibility, having those things in our own hands and having to figure them out on our own.

Pre-production (Risk Assessment)

Risk Assessment Form Risk Assessed Risk Assessment forms are important to the safety of everyone included in filming, making sure everyone will be out of harms way and how to prevent incidents in the future. Without the Risk Assessment the filming would not have been allowed to go forwards, issues that could be caused would end up being a problem. We then assessed the risks we could possibly have, coming up with solutions for those things just in case.

Pre-production (Personnel list, resource list and contributors)

Resource List Contributors Personnel List We had to complete these lists in order to allow the project to go forward. The contributor forms being one of the most important parts of our pre-production meant that it had to be done before the rest of the paperwork was crucial. Contributors forms give the actors in my project the opportunity to sign as to say 'I consent to being on camera', this then allowing the project to go forth without any problems with those included in the filming process. Personnel Lists give a run down of those contributors similarly to the Resource List which acts as a sort of checklist for the equipment that will be used/needed during filming and editing.

Canon Pre-production.

Risk Assessment forms had to be done before the shoot, insuring the safety of everyone involved. It was important we did this otherwise the shoot would have been on hold until the paperwork was filled out. Location Scouting however was done as a way to get formal permission to take photos in the space we chose.

Research Self Assessment

Research Self Assessment After completing my pitch for my product i then filled out a self assessment. This was done as an indication as to what i had done and if i had done everything i needed to do, a checklist if you will. It allowed me to manage the work i had finished and the work i needed to complete, it planned things out, organised work to make things less stressful in the end. I also self reflected on my work, giving myself a grade as to what i thought my work deserved.

Podcast Pre-production.

Podcast Projection Plan and Research What do you hope to achieve? What is the purpose/function of the work? Is it for entertainment, promotion, information, education etc? What is the structure? In my podcast i hope to achieve the ability to make other people happy through the things we talk about. Id also like to strife to make my listeners comfortable and more confident. The purpose of the podcast is to make people smile, focusing on how smiling can effect your mental health in positive ways, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. The podcast will be for promotion towards the mental health charity Mind, this will also help to further peoples own knowledge on mental health. Hopefully we will be able to do this in a way that our audience will also find entertaining. The structure for the podcast is unknown as of now, but it may be unstructured so there is no direct script reading although we will most likely make some notes about the topics we could talk about...
